Jersey is blessed with beautiful beaches from secluded rocky coves on the island's north coast to golden sandy beaches on the south and west coasts.
ANNEPORT.
Located on the north-east of the island, parking is a problem. But the solution is to get on your bike, because Beauport is a small but perfectly formed cove protected from westerly winds with safe bathing and good sunshine from early morning to late afternoon.
BEAUPORT.
Here's what local Luke Shobrook says about Beauport on the south coast of Jersey.
"This beach is one of my favourites - the rocks are all pink and start to glow as the sun goes down. It's great for swimming because the sea drops off pretty quickly and it's good for barbies 'cos it's generally deserted"
ROZEL.
A small fishing harbour on the north coast, it's a little rocky for swimming at low tide. But, it is charming with a great cliff walk and some lovely restaurants nearby. The Hungry Man Cafe on the pier does a mean bacon sarnie and on a clear day you can see France.
ST. AUBIN'S BAY.
This beach is a short drive from St. Helier and its popular with water-skiers and windsurfers. Jet skis are available for hire and water-skiing tuition is available from the Jersey Sea Sport Centre on La Haule Slip. But the sandy beach stretches for miles so if your idea of beach sports is making sandcastles then this is the place to be.
ST. BRELADE'S BAY.
A large sandy beach with fun boats, canoe hire and other activities. Beach front cafes and plenty of car parking nearby. Here's what visitor Justyna from Warsaw liked about the beach.
"It's a nice mix of locals and visitors and when the sun sets its wonderful."
ST. OUEN'S BAY.
Covering almost the entire west coast of the island, this is probably the best surfing in Great Britain. The bay plays host to numerous international surfing competitions and lessons are available for beginners. Plenty of car parking available.
