Probably our favourite beach in Jersey . Beauport is on the south coast and although it catches the sun until late afternoon, it is often deserted during the week.
It is not easy to get to as it involves a steep descent down cliff paths but for the fit and able bodied it's well worth the effort. The sand is soft and golden and the amazing pink granite rock formations start glowing at sunset.
Because it is enclosed by cliffs on three sides it is sheltered from all but southerly winds.
Parking
There is a spacious car park at the top of the cliff which, apart from August weekends and Bank Holidays, has spaces available.
Swimming
The sea is always close and is safe at all tide levels.
